Adjective:  Relating to shepherds or rural life.

Noun:  The ability to wait without feeling anxious.

Noun: Someone who lives on a retirement benefit; an elderly person.

Noun:  A formal, written request made to an official person or organized body, often containing many signatures.

Adjective:  Small; minor.

Noun:  The highest degree awarded by a university; literally means "Doctor of Philosophy."
