Bullet mold used by Matthew Marvin
This bullet mold, owned by Matthew Marvin, was used to make round bullets and cone-shaped Minie balls. To make a bullet, the soldier melted lead over a fire. He poured the hot lead into the mold and closed it, letting it cool for a few minutes. When he opened the mold, the bullet came out, formed as a sphere or a cone.
