Confederate currency from Virginia

This Confederate 15-cent note came from Nottoway County, Virginia. Since so much money was printed in the South and the system was so disorganized, it became very easy for counterfeiters to print fake bills, and this became a big problem. In the end, real Confederate currency became just as worthless as the fake printed currency, and neither could pay off the South's $5,846,000 of war debt.
