Confederate States of America currency

More than 70 different currencies were printed by the Confederate government. To make it even more complicated, state governments often created their own currencies as well. The South printed so much money during the Civil War that it lost value to the point that a bar of soap could cost as much as $50. This note was worth 10 dollars. On the back is printed the poem "The Confederate Note," about the loss of the war from the Confederate point of view.
