On May 19, 1918, Sadie Skauge wrote to her friend Ole Berg, addressing the letter to "Somewhere in France." Sadie's letter to Ole is full of local news, including stories about all her father's teeth being pulled, the finals she will take in school, and the trouble she got into with some of her friends. This is one of many letters Ole Berg received from family and friends while he was in the military during World War I, including letters in Norwegian from his parents in Lonsdale, Minnesota.
