Presentation of the colors of the 151st
After the U.S. declaration of war, National Guard units from 26 states and the District of Columbia combined to form a single division, known as the Rainbow Division. Minnesota's 151st Field Artillery was part of the Rainbow Division, and served in France from October 1917 to Armistice Day. When the 151st arrived back in Minnesota in spring 1919, the state honored the soldiers with a ceremony at the Capitol.
