Quartermaster's map of northern Georgia

Topographical maps were essential tools during the Civil War; they showed a lot of detail on a smaller section of ground, including relief (or the heights of the terrain). This map of northern Georgia details roads, waterways, railroad lines, and towns. It is printed on cotton cloth and was used by General William Gates LeDuc.
