Roll of American Red Cross labels

The Minnesota chapters of the Red Cross were largely formed during World War I. By the end of the war, 20 percent of Minnesotans were members. These labels would have been used by the Minneapolis chapter to mark supplies they sent to soldiers overseas. At war’s end, 101,000 tons of relief supplies had been shipped overseas by the American Red Cross.
