Suffrage Badge
This suffrage badge was used by Clara Ueland (Mrs. Andreas Ueland), the president of the Minnesota Woman Suffrage Association, at the 1916 National Suffrage Convention in New Jersey. Ueland lived in Minneapolis, the wife of a lawyer and mother of eight children, and first got involved in the suffrage movement in 1913. She was a very successful organizer, reaching out to women all over the state to get involved in letter-writing, marches, and lobbying legislators.
