Woman suffrage meeting at Rice park, St. Paul.

On May 2, 1914, suffrage organizations around the country participated in suffrage marches and demonstrations in their home cities, including Minneapolis and St. Paul. A week later, a national suffrage march took place in Washington, D.C., with women representing each Congressional district in the country. Women demanded their right to vote, but victory was still six years in the future.
