Asians live in every county in the state of Minnesota. While many live in the Twin Cities metro, outstate Asian Minnesotans have unique experiences about coming to and living in the state. The narrators discuss their personal stories of coming to Minnesota from a variety of Asians countries. The ethnic groups and nationalities represented among the narrators include: Chinese, Hmong, Laotian, Singaporean, Filipino, Cambodian, Indian and Thai.

The Asians in Greater Minnesota Oral History Project is part of the larger Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project, a partnership between the Minnesota Historical Society and the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans.
