Post-Depositional Impacts

According to the Duluth Evening News, June 16, 1904, a salvage effort was quickly organized and on June 16, the Niagara's "boiler, engine, machinery, and iron and steel work" had been recovered and placed in the Whitney Brother's dock in Duluth. According to the report, only the wooden hull was not recovered.
