Oral History Interview with Brynhild Rowberg

Brynhild Rowberg was a member of a family from Northfield, Minnesota. She spent much of her life as a Foreign Service officer with the United States Department of State, serving in post World War II Europe, and later in Asia. Further information on her life and career may be found in a collection of her papers at the Minnesota Historical Society.

Subjects discussed include: arrival in Europe as World War II ended, service in Vienna and interaction with colleagues throughout eastern Europe as the Soviet bloc came into existence, and a subsequent assignment in Saigon during the Vietnam War era.
